From Clicks to Cuddles: Share our cats’ stories & help them find fur-ever homes
Golden Oldies Cat Rescue is looking for a Volunteer Webmaster and a Social Media/Video Editor to help bring the voices of older cats to life online. With your creativity and digital skills, you can help us share their journeys, inspire adoptions, and connect these wonderful cats with the loving homes they deserve.
Webmaster Volunteer:
Working with two other volunteers, you will
- Update existing content on the GOCR website, post new cats available for adoption, post News & Announcements etc.
- Create new web pages; make changes to the site navigation as needed; update monthly calendar of events
- Update and create new forms as needed
- Make recommendations to improve the website workflow
Skills needed:
- Knowledge/experience with HTML, CSS, and WordPress plugins, forms and templates
- Experience with image editing and optimization
- Preferred experience with web hosting
- Problem solving, communication and coordination with other website support members
- Ability to define needs for new tools, research options, and make recommendations
Social Media/Video Volunteer:
- Create engaging posts, photos, and videos for social media
- Create short videos using provided photos and clips
- Volunteers should be proficient in Canva and familiar with Google Drive.
