Smokey, formerly Panchito, has finally found his place in the world!
Smokey first came to us in January 2020. He was adopted in April. It did not work out, and he came back to us in November. He then was adopted on February 20th of this year.
And this handsome gray boy now knows he has his forever home.
His adopter tells us he has become a healthy, confident, affectionate cat … though still “a weird” cat!
“If I’m gone for more than an hour, I come home to the blanket he came to me with, laying in the living room,” she says. “He is now a lap cat. And he loves his time walking with me outside on his leash. He knows the word no! And he is never aggressive toward me or anyone. But if I have to pick him up to carry him home, he growls and hisses, but never any physical aggressive behavior.”
Smokey’s new mom has added a drop of salmon fish oil to his food and says he has gained some weight – which is good for this guy who was a little thin – and his coat is dramatically better.
“I’m happy with his progress,” she says. “He is one happy cat!”
Happy Tails to Smokey and his mom, Gail. We love hearing these happy stories and sharing them with everyone.
