Golden Oldies Cat Rescue re-homes cats 6 years and older from Monterey County who are at risk in shelters or whose guardians can no longer care for them. We place these cats, who have no other options of a safe place to go, into temporary foster care. We then find them permanent loving homes, enriching the lives of both the cats and their new families. We are unable to accept stray or feral cats or cats who do not use a litter box.
What We Do:
- Foster Care: Once a cat is surrendered to us, they are lovingly cared for in our network of volunteer foster homes. Our foster families provide a warm and nurturing environment while we work diligently to find each cat a permanent, loving home.
- No Strays or Feral Cats: To ensure the best possible outcomes, we are unable to accept stray or feral cats. Additionally, we cannot take in cats that are not litter box trained.
Our commitment is to give every older cat a chance at a new beginning in a compassionate and supportive home.
