Meet Fiona: The Big One-Zero-Zero!
There are 100 years in a century.
On the Celsius scale, 100 degrees is the boiling temperature of water.
There are 100 yards in an American football field.
And now, Golden Oldies has taken in ONE HUNDRED CATS since we started on June 16, 2016!
Fiona, a 16-year-old torti, earned that distinction when she went into one of our foster homes on March
25, 2021. It’s fitting Fiona is staying with our wonderful volunteer Cat Glass, who has fostered FIFTEEN
Golden Oldies cats since joining us in August 2018.
Fiona’s guardian passed away unexpectedly, leaving her in need of a home. Fiona is incredibly shy and if
anyone can bring her out of her shell, it’s Cat!
Thank you, Cat, and let’s get this sweet girl into a forever home.
Fiona needs a quiet adult-only home with no dogs. Other cats would be fine, though she tends to keep
to herself. Her spot of choice is under the bed. Sudden movements will cause her to run and hide.
Once Fiona is comfortable with you, she will come out, usually in the evening, and hang out in the room
with you but not too close. She usually sits on the cat tree or on the back of the couch opposite of where
you are sitting. She does seem to like it when you talk to her but does not like quick movements.
She has had all of her teeth removed but is able to eat wet and dry food just fine and she loves her
water fountain. She likes to use the cat tree's scratching post.
