Mad Catter Tea Party

WOW! The 2nd Annual Mad Catter Tea Party was our largest fundraiser to-date! Thanks to our attendees, sponsors and all of those who donated from afar, the fundraiser raised over $30,000!!!

Thank you so much for joining us as we celebrated Golden Oldies’ 10-year anniversary as Monterey County’s only rescue dedicated exclusively to older cats.

And to those who were unable to attend — you were missed. We hope to see you at a future event.

From the delicious food and lively company to the spirited bidding wars at the silent auction tables, the afternoon was filled with joy, laughter, and generosity.

As an added bonus, many guests arrived wearing cat-themed clothing and wonderfully creative and fun hats, which made the event even more memorable!

We were especially touched by the many compliments on the decorations, music, video, food, venue, and beautiful view. And some auction items sold for more than their value, so a huge thank you to our auction item donors and those who placed bids.

Golden Oldies Cat Rescue is a 501c3 nonprofit. Our mission is to rescue and rehome older cats from Monterey County who are at risk in shelters or whose guardians can no longer care for them. We place these cats, who have no other options of a safe place to go, into temporary foster care. We then find them permanent loving homes, enriching the lives of both the cats and their new families.
