Our Healing Paws Fund is for veterinary care for our foster cats. This includes everything from dental exams and extractions to ophthalmologist visits, vaccinations, medication and more.
Our Healing Paws Fund has enabled us to provide care for cats like 8-year-old Newman, who came to us from Hitchcock Road Animal Services with an old injury to his front leg. Due to nerve damage, the leg needed to be amputated. We were able to do that – and have a painfully cracked tooth pulled along with a dental cleaning — thanks to your generous donations to our Healing Paws Fund.
Newman adapted to living on three legs like a champ. He remained his sweet and loving self through the whole ordeal. doling out kisses and complimentary lap warmings.
Newman, whose foster mom called him “one of the sweetest babies in the world!” was adopted shortly after the leg amputation. He now goes by “Newmie.”
His adopted mom had this to say: “He fits right in! I feel lucky to have him; he’s just a real lover.”
