Golden Oldies was recently awarded a $20,000.00 grant from the Mary Jo and Hank Greenberg Foundation of Beverly Hills.
The funds are earmarked for our Matchmaker Fund.
The Matchmaker Fund was created in February so that we never separate a perfect match. If someone cannot afford to adopt a Golden Oldies cat but is the purr-fect home for that kitty, we will not let finances stand in the way. Golden Oldies pledges to pay expenses for life for a Matchmaker Cat.

The Fund was created in February 2020, after we realized that foster mom Marilyn was a great match to provide a forever home for sweet Rusty, but she could not afford to formally adopt her.
We sent out a plea for help in February and raised $9,350.00 for Marilyn and Rusty. The adoption was supposed to take place in March, but COVID-19 has delayed things.
We estimate it costs $1,200.00 a year for food, litter and routine medical care for one cat.
Thank you to the Greenberg Foundation for believing in our mission, and awarding us much-needed funds.
