Tamara moved to the Monterey Peninsula in 2003 and immediately signed up to volunteer with a local rescue organization. She hasn’t stopped helping the animals since. She was hired as the Foster/Adoption Coordinator for Golden Oldies in February 2021 and is now our Program Manager and part of the Advisory Committee.
Helping to connect people and pets has always been Tamara’s passion. With her previous experience as an animal health technician, she has been able to utilize the skills she learned in the private practice setting to help sick and injured animals in the rescue community.
An animal lover her entire life, Tamara currently enjoys the company of her bantam chickens, two large rescue dogs, and the family’s 15-year-old cat, Pip.
When she isn’t working or volunteering, Tamara enjoys spending time with her family, reading, hiking, gardening and baking.
