Kay serves as medical consultant to the Board. She is a veterinarian who’s been in the Monterey Peninsula area since 1977. Her career has been varied. She’s owned two hospitals and has worked at a number of other hospitals in the area. Along the way, cats became her area of special interest. She reminds us that cats are not little dogs – their behaviors, illnesses, and injuries are unique.
When she was asked to help with rescuing older cats, she didn’t hesitate. Here’s what Kay had to say, “It takes a special person to appreciate all that an older cat has to offer and I’d like to find as many “special” adopters as possible. Being older is not a disease, and these guys deserve a loving home!”
