Jacqueline and her husband, John, along with their then 5-year-old cat Marcus, moved back to Monterey in 2016 after having both lived here previously. Jacqueline, originally from New York, moved to Monterey in her 20s to work in Salinas. Separately and together, she and John moved around the country and decided to make Monterey their retirement destination.
After a long career in accounting and finance and earning her Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) credential, Jacqueline retired from Fidelity Investments in 2023 to dedicate herself to volunteering.
Jacqueline currently volunteers at the Monterey Bay Aquarium as a vested guide. She also volunteers at the SPCA of Monterey County in Cat Adoptions, matching cats with potential adopters. As a CFP®, Jacqueline volunteers for Wings for Widows, a non-profit whose mission is to provide personalized financial wellness coaching to help the newly widowed move forward with confidence and hope.
Jacqueline began supporting Golden Oldies through donations in April 2018. She fostered one cat, Sassy, but unfortunately Marcus put his paw down and wouldn’t allow that again. Jacqueline currently manages the monthly GOCR information tables signups and joined the Board of Directors in March 2026. She is on the GOCR personnel committee and also serves as our financial advisor.
In her free time, Jacqueline enjoys spending time with John, seeing family in California, and traveling.
