Say hello to William! He’s a 10-year old, 10-pound 3-legged American bobtail.
He lost his guardian last year after spending all his life in one place and with one person. A friend took him in, but he has not acclimated to the home because of another resident cat.
William is quite unique with his striking green eyes, short tail, luxurious long hair and only three legs. In a cat-versus-car episode, he came out one leg short. But don’t feel sorry for him, he can get to his food bowl in 3.9 seconds! Although he doesn’t climb very high, he can haul himself up to the lower levels of his cat tree or the sofa and is content to watch the birds and snooze. He also has a crooked left ear, which makes him all the more adorable!
Any toy with a feather is worthy of a chase and he has a one-meow vocabulary, although he purrs like a champ. He can Jedi mind trick you into the kitchen for a cookie and waits patently until you bend to his will.
Although he’s not a lap kitty, he does love chin scratches and gentle pets. He’ll be your one-cat parade and follow you from room to room; he’s a social guy and likes to hang out wherever you are. He’ll never admit it and will hate that this was shared, but once his person woke up to find William sleeping on his chest. Just for a moment, but it did happen.
As with all but the boldest of cats, loud noises or dogs barking make him run for cover and he warms up to strangers in his own time. Like most of us, he can be both sweet and cranky, but he’s a pretty mellow guy.
William is currently living with another cat, which he tolerates but bullies on occasion. He lives with two large dogs who respect his space and boundaries. His preference would be to be doted on as an only cat with no other animals. Most of his time is spent indoors but he also likes to sit outside and watch the world.
This sweet boy would just like the chance to hang out with his person.
William is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, FIV/FELV negative and has had a complete blood panel done.
