Sylvester is a 10-year-old short-haired tuxedo who is calm and affectionate. He craves attention, wants to be petted and picked up, and purrs when he is held. He also loves to be brushed.
Sylvester may be partially deaf.
This kitty has had a lot of change in his life and now finds himself in need of a new home.
Sylvester showed up at a Pebble Beach home many years ago and was lovingly cared for by the home’s owner. When the owner died about four years ago, his son took over Sylvester’s care. But in February, the son died. The daughter then took over Sylvester’s care, and he is living in a guest house on the property. Sylvester cannot live in the home because the resident cat can be aggressive.
However, his current caretaker wants more for Sylvester, who loves for her to just sit and spend time with him.
“I love sweet Sylvester but it hurts me to have to leave him in the guest house by himself. He needs more human contact than I can give him. He needs to live with people,” his caretaker says. “He’s lonely all by himself in that guest house. Also, there is no heat in the guest house, except a plug-in space heater… but it’s not safe to leave the heater on when I’m not there with Sylvester. It makes me sad. He deserves better.”
All Golden Oldies cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on rabies and FVRCP vaccines, microchipped, FIV/FELV negative and have had a complete blood panel done.
