Swirly and Skittles are brother-sister brown tabbies who need a new home due to severe allergies in the family.
They are 15 1/2 years old and in good health. They were born May 3, 2007, so they have a birthday coming up and what better gift than a new home?
They are extremely loving cats and like to be petted, sit on laps, and lounge next to their people. Playing with cat toys like catnip balls and wavy wands also is a favorite pastime.
Swirly and Skittles were born in the wild and taken in by Good Samaritans at about 6 weeks of age. They are shy with new people, but it only takes a day or two for them to get to know someone and then they are best buddies. They spent their first 4 ½ years solely indoors but now like to wander outside and smell the flowers and lie in the sun; they are cautious and stay close to home.
Swirly is a 12-pound girl and Skittles is an 18-pound boy (he needs to lose weight).
They have been around other cats and dogs, but they keep their distance. They mostly avoid other cats, and they tolerate dogs. Based on their behavior and their personalities with other cats and dogs, they should become friendly with other family pets who they see on a regular basis.
All Golden Oldies cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on rabies and FVRCP vaccines, microchipped, FIV/FELV negative and have had a complete blood panel done.
