Sadie is a 6 year old gorgeous, medium-haired cream/brown/gray girl with tiger stripes. She is bonded with Sophie so they need to be adopted together. See separate posting for Sophie.
Sadie is normally a well-adjusted, happy, affectionate cat who likes to lie on her person’s legs and get her head scratched. However, her guardian moved recently and surrendered Sadie to a local shelter. This was highly stressful for Sadie. Luckily, a good Samaritan picked her up within a couple of days and took her to a vet clinic for medical care and boarding. Then contacted Golden Oldies Cat Rescue for help. Sadie was dehydrated, stressed, and too thin.
Currently, Sadie is gaining weight gradually and no longer dehydrated. She’s a healthy kitty but still stressed in boarding. She’s friendly but shy. Sadie needs someone to take her under their wing and bring her out of her shell.
She needs her own home where she can relax and get some loving attention. She’s an indoor-only kitty who is sweet and friendly, but currently spending too much time in her “safe” hiding place. She’ll let you pet her within a few minutes of meeting her and will blossom once she gets her own “person” again.
Sadie has been around children, small dogs and other cats. She is playful, especially with a fishing pole toy, and although she may retreat at first when a stranger comes into the room she’ll quickly re-appear and warm up.
If you can shower Sadie with love, please call 831-200-9700 or email us at goldenoldiescats@gmail.com.
