For animal lovers there is probably nothing worse than having to give up a beloved pet.
The guardians of Rusty, a 10-year-old orange tabby, are facing exactly this right now.
“We love our cat so much and are heartbroken that we have to find another home for him,” says Rusty’s mom, Mary.
The family was told it had to move out of its current rental in Carmel Valley, a place they have lived for more than 10 years. They found a new place but cannot bring Rusty along.
Rusty is neutered and very vibrant. He purrs a lot and is sweet and loving. Rusty is microchipped, up to date on all vaccines and felv/fiv negative. Rusty has diabetes and needs shots of insulin twice a day.
His guardians got him from the Santa Cruz SPCA when he was a kitten.
All Golden Oldies cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on rabies and FVRCP vaccines, microchipped, FIV/FELV negative and have had a complete blood panel done.
