Peanut is a 7-year-old short-haired black and white cat whose guardian is moving and cannot take her along.
She is an indoor-only cat who likes to play with toy balls. Peanut really enjoys her “cat cookie” treats. She is quite shy with strangers but once she warms up she likes to be petted and hang out with her person. When she was recently boarding at a vet clinic, she was a staff favorite.
Peanut has not been around children. She is not afraid of dogs, especially if they just ignore her (she has been around a large dog). Her preference is to live in a house that has no other cats. She tries to bully other cats and can be aggressive towards them. She loves her cat tree and her scratching post.
This beautiful girl just wants to get settled in a new home with people who will shower love and patience on her. She’s truly a cat that needs her new beginning. She doesn’t like to be moved, so her new people will need to give her some extra time to adjust to a new home. Let Peanut set the pace.
