Muffin is a 13 ½ year old short-haired tortoiseshell girl whose elderly guardian can no longer care for her and so she needs a new home.
She is in Woodland, CA.
She was adopted as a kitten from a shelter and has spent her life with one human. Now Muffin is scared and grieving and needs a safe space to heal her wounded heart.
Her deadline for placement is November 1.
Muffin was very gentle and affectionate and a bona fide lap cat with her guardian. However, due to limited interaction with other people, she is very timid and shy and will hide when other people arrive. She slept on her guardian’s stomach, but if new people are around will nestle under a bed or couch.
Muffin just needs a patient person to take a chance on her and teach her that she can love someone other than her former guardian. Maybe you could be the one to give her that second chance?
Muffin is spayed and current on vaccines. She is an indoor only cat. She has never been around dogs, tolerates other cats (ignores them) and has had limited interaction with children.
She would go to a new home with a window bed, playpen, scratching post, automatic feeder, anxiety sprays and chewables, litter box and litter genie, water fountain and toys. Pretty much everything a kitty could want or need!
