Sensei and his sister Misty are two senior cats (12+ years) in San Jose, who are looking for a new home with someone who is loving and patient. Their previous owner was an elderly woman who passed away recently, leaving them to fend for themselves. They deserve a quiet home to live out their golden years. We will happily adopt either alone but would love a home that would take both.
Sensei is a total lovebug who will happily accept ALL pets and will tell you when he wants more attention. He loves to be around people, and will often seek affection from anyone who will give it to him.
Misty is a shy lady who is choosy about whom she trusts, though she can warm up to those who give her the love, space, and understanding she requires. (Sensei will gladly run ‘interference’ and take all the affection Misty might not be ready for!)
Behavior: Sensei loves humans and will take any attention he can get. He is happy as a lap cat, and loves pets and scratches. Misty is pretty shy and prefers to do her business when there aren’t humans around. Misty will hide when she doesn’t want attention and is perfectly content in a small dark space.
Health: Misty and Sensei recently got full medical workups, including blood tests and updated vaccinations. Both are missing many teeth, so they prefer wet food – but will happily eat dry food in a pinch. Misty is a happy and healthy girl with no known medical issues! Sensei was diagnosed with early-stage renal failure, so he drinks a LOT of water and uses the litter box often. Otherwise, he is a happy and healthy boy.
Litter Habits: Both cats are litter trained! Misty is very neat and clean. Sensei likes to drink water by licking it off his paws, so he can sometimes track litter around. Because of his renal issues, he uses the litter box often.
