Karma is a pretty & petite 17-year-old Abyssinian mix, but her foster says “It’s hard to believe Karma is 17 as her activity level is that of a younger cat. She’s an active, loving girl who likes to play with toys and interact with people.”
She was adopted 16 years ago from an animal rescue near Scotts Valley and has moved many times with her guardian. Her most recent home was in Pacific Grove. But this time when the guardian had to move, Karma could not go with her.
This short-haired kitty has a distinctive “ticked” tabby coat and a nose that is just too cute! She is primarily an indoor cat with occasional daytime forays outside for short periods of time. She LOVES to be brushed on her face and head and will let you know when she’s had enough attention. Karma enjoys having views of the great outdoors, especially in front of windows/doors that give her a pool of sunshine to bask in. She also enjoys the company of humans and will give you kisses once she knows you. She mainly needs her very own human to love – she’ll reward you with devotion and sweet purrrrrrs. By the way, Karma has a particular fondness for men.She has not lived with other cats and will hiss at them if they are around her. She needs to be adopted into a home that doesn’t have other cats. She also hasn’t been around kids, but has some experience with a dog and would likely be okay with a dog that treats her respectfully. This little lady is litter box trained and is not destructive to furniture.
Karma has had her medical exam and blood tests and is in fantastic health, but she is a picky eater and doesn’t eat much at one sitting; she likes to graze throughout the day. She enjoys sleeping in her cat bed but will also sleep with her person on her own terms (typical cat!). Karma is a pretty quiet girl and not very vocal at all. She does appreciate getting catnip to enjoy.
