Meet Joey – A Gentle Senior in Search of a Loving Home
Joey is a distinguished 18-year-old long-haired gray and white gentleman with a heart as soft as his purr. Sadly, Joey’s world turned upside down when his owner moved overseas and was unable to take him along. Now, this sweet soul is looking for a peaceful, loving home where he can spend his golden years surrounded by kindness.
A lifelong indoor cat, Joey is well-mannered, quiet, and has lived harmoniously with other cats, although he would prefer to enjoy your attention without having to share. He’s also comfortable around calm, respectful dogs. Though he’s hard of hearing, Joey enjoys life’s simple pleasures–especially basking in warm, sunny spots and receiving gentle affection from his human companions. Maybe you have some extra sunshine for him to enjoy?
Joey’s gorgeous soft coat needs regular brushing to keep him comfortable and tangle-free, and he takes a once a day medication, to help maintain his health. He’s very cooperative with both and appreciates a calm, gentle touch.

Joey is eligible to be adopted through one of our special programs where Golden Oldies pledges to pay some — or all — of his expenses for his lifetime as long as he remains with his original adopter.
Joey is being fostered in Carmel Valley
All Golden Oldies cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on rabies and FVRCP vaccines, microchipped, FIV/FELV negative and have had a complete blood panel done.
