JALAPEÑO JACK HAS ARRIVED! Jalapeño Jack is a big 13-pound, 6-year-old black-and-white boy who wants to be the love of your life!
Jalapeño Jack was found wandering the streets of San Jose and was brought to the shelter on Jan. 17 where he was treated for wounds and an upper respiratory infection. He also was neutered. He came to Golden Oldies January 30th from the San Jose Animal Care Center.
Now Jalapeño Jack is living the good life as a Golden Oldies cat in his new foster home in Monterey.
Jalapeño Jack loves people and affection. He purrs and rolls around when petted and is slowly exploring his foster home. He arrived at his foster home with dirty fur and paws – he was a street cat, after all – and let his foster mom wipe his paws and legs with a warm washcloth! Now that’s a trusting cat!
JJ is a true gentleman — Gentleman Jack, you could call him. Very well-mannered, quiet, and so gentle when interacting with humans. He’s fascinated by TV. Shows with flashing lights or loud noises are a bit scary; he likes home renovation shows, or just scrolling through the Hulu menu.
Jalapeño Jack was on the special needs list at the San Jose shelter and needed rescue. Golden Oldies usually is only able to help cats from Monterey County, but since we had numerous open foster homes and none of the local rescues or shelters needed help we wanted to get some cats out of shelters in other counties. He’s had his medical exam and lab work and he’s ready for an adoptive home.
THANK YOU TO SAN JOSE ANIMAL CARE CENTER FOR PROVIDING $500 FOR JALAPEÑO JACK’S LABWORK AND UPPER RESPIRATORY INFECTION TREATMENT AS PART OF YOUR GUARDIAN ANGEL PROGRAM!
All Golden Oldies cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on rabies and FVRCP vaccines, microchipped, FIV/FELV negative and have had a complete blood panel done.
If you would like to meet Jalapeño Jack, please fill out an adoption application.
