11-year-old “Ivy” is a confident and friendly cat. This big, beautiful, long-haired, ‘cow kitty’ with gorgeous green eyes, came to us after she found herself abandoned at the shelter, severely matted. The shelter staff took good care of her and did their best to remove as much of her matted fur as possible. She is now much more comfortable after a grooming appointment removed her remaining mats. We will be looking for an adopter who is familiar with keeping long-haired cats brushed or able to take Ivy to the groomer, if needed, to keep her tangle-free in the future.
While we don’t know much about her past we know she will have a bright future. Ivy loves to be around people and might be best as the only cat in the home. She is affectionate, doesn’t mind being picked up, enjoys attention, and would love to add some beauty and character to a home. Maybe yours?
“This is certainly a very friendly girl. She hasn’t been hiding at all since she arrived, and I get almost constant leg rubs and head butts. I’ve napped with her in her room and she’s very comfortable snuggling. She purrs lightly and doesn’t mind being picked up, she is an excellent biscuit maker and napper.”
All Golden Oldies cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on rabies and FVRCP vaccines, microchipped, FIV/FELV negative and have had a complete blood panel done.
