Ginger is a 7-year-old orange tabby whose guardians can no longer care for her so she needs a new home.
This kitty is a gem. She has a freckled nose, beautiful jade green eyes and two distinct gold stripes across her back near her shoulder blades.
Ginger is an indoor-outdoor cat who enjoys the ability to come and go. Nowadays, her choice is usually to stay indoors most of the time, but she does love to hang out in pools of sun on a patio. A typical cat, she is scared of the vacuum and the blender. You may find her under the bed covers if she gets nervous about her surroundings or new people.
She would do best in a home with no other animals as she has been an only cat for more than six years and dogs scare her. She loves some kids but prefers they be at least 9 years old. She’s currently living with another cat in her foster home, but prefers to be the only cat. Basically, Ginger prefers human company, and loves human attention.
Ginger is initially shy, but with a bit of time she opens up and shows her sweet, loving and goofy personality. She is very gentle and enjoys a quiet home where she can relax in the sunny spots. Ginger’s favorite thing is to fall asleep in bed with her person – and she sometimes snores. She knows how to open cabinet doors and lets her person know if she wants a closet door open. She’ll make you laugh as she sometimes chases her own shadow, and she’ll sometimes be very interested in the “other side” of a door, but when she walks around to it, she switches her interest to the side she just left.
She is a big girl, weighing in at slightly more than 15 pounds and enjoys Greenies dental treats a bit more than she should! She needs to be on a wet food diet in order to continue to reduce slowly to a healthy weight.
If you want a kitty who will love you like a best friend, Ginger is your girl.
