Fiona is a beautiful 17-year-old long-haired tortoiseshell whose guardian passed away, leaving her in need of a new home.
She came to Golden Oldies in March 2021 as our 100th cat and was adopted January 2022. But a week later she disappeared into the great outdoors, through an open door. Fiona was on the streets for over 6 months…cold, lonely, scared, toothless, hungry and covered in fleas. We searched for her but saw no sign of her. Then we found her! We took her to the vet, (where she got a clean bill of health), gave her a bath, and now she is back in foster with her original foster mom being given yummy food, lots of love and of course a warm bed to sleep in.
She is just waiting for her forever home…again.
Fiona previously lived with three other cats, but she is very shy and needs a quiet adult-only home with no dogs or young children.
Fiona needs a very patient person to adopt her who will let her set the pace. All contact needs to be at her own speed. She needs to be allowed time to adjust. When she arrives at a new home, she needs to be in a space where avoidance is not an option. She will avoid contact if that is an option.
Fiona has had all of her teeth removed and loves her wet food.
All Golden Oldies cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on rabies and FVRCP vaccines, microchipped, FIV/FELV negative and have had a complete blood panel done.
