Meet Felix, a 13 1/2 -year-old orange and cream gentle giant who needs a new home. Felix first came to Golden Oldies in November 2018 with his brother, Oscar, when his family had to move and could not take the two cats along. Both were adopted into a wonderful home in April 2019. Sadly, Oscar died in August 2021 and now Felix has come back to Golden Oldies because his guardian can no longer care for him.
This boy is very friendly and will greet visitors at the door just like a dog, only without the bark! He loves to be petted and will let you know if you are doing it wrong with a little nip (after he gets to know you, he even likes his tummy rubbed). Felix loves to hang out in whatever room his person is in, get brushed, venture into a safely enclosed outdoor space with his person, and lounge on his cat tree that sits in front of a window. He can be talkative at times – especially when traveling in the car.
Felix weighed in at a whopping 17 pounds at his last vet visit and needs a guardian who will be diligent in helping him along on his weight loss journey. He loves his wand toy and laser light — and encouraging play should help Felix shed some pounds.
All Golden Oldies cats are spayed or neutered, current on vaccinations, microchipped, up-to-date with flea control, have had a senior blood panel and are FELV/FIV negative.
