Charlie, a 12-pound Maine Coon-Siamese mix, got a second chance at a new beginning when he was adopted. He was 8 years old at the time and was the first cat adopted from Golden Oldies.
Charlie’s owners had brought him in to a Carmel veterinary clinic to be euthanized.
“Charlie is doing great,” his new guardian said nine months after his adoption. “He is such a love and stubborn as hell. He sleeps with me most nights and always wakes me up each morning — usually before I’m ready to get up. He’s really quite a character and literally talks – we carry on conversations all the time. He has really been a joy for me.”
