Sweet and easygoing, Buster was picked up as a stray during the summer of 2016 and taken to the Salinas Animal Shelter with bite wounds to the head that had abscessed. He was treated and quickly became a staff and volunteer favorite due to his affectionate nature, and they named him “Frankie”.
Buster came to Golden Oldies in August 2016, where he was placed in a foster home. He was our first cat to go into foster.
Foster mom Ellie fell in love with the handsome then 10-year-old tuxedo and adopted him. The two are a perfect pair … They enjoy sitting on the couch together and watching Giants baseball games. A huge Giants fan, Ellie decided the name Buster (Posey) was a good fit … Buster seems to think so too! “Buster is doing very well. He is sweet and loving toward me,” Ellie said in May 2017.
