Bel is a very sweet but shy 16-year old girl who needs a home with someone willing to be patient for as long as it takes her to adjust. It could take months, it could take longer. She needs a home with no children and no other animals.
A beautifully striped tabby, it takes a very long time for a human to earn Bel’s trust. She needs someone who will give her a safe space with plenty of hiding spots. She is a calm kitty who once she warms up loves to be stroked and will lie next to you. She does not like being picked up.
Bel currently is living in a garage with her own little cat home and is quite content. She prefers not to use a litter box so a place for her to “do her business” on dirt or concrete in a safely enclosed space would be ideal.
Bel is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccines. She also recently had senior labs done.
She has lived with the same person since she was adopted as kitten from a shelter in Santa Ynez. However, a new child who joined the family is severely allergic and all avenues to prevent the allergies have been explored.
Bel is in Pacific Grove, CA.
