Fosters Needed!
Have you ever thought about fostering a cat? Opening your home to a cat in need can literally save its life. Without foster volunteers, Golden Oldies cannot help cats in our community who need a safe space to live while they wait for their new forever home.
Fostering a cat, whether for weeks or months, can be such a rewarding experience! Studies show that having a furry companion can reduce anxiety, relieve stress, and brighten your day. Who doesn’t want that?!
What is required of you? Most importantly a loving, generally quieter home, with a dedicated safe space, like a bedroom or bathroom, for starters. Once your foster cat is comfortable in the space, they can begin to meet any resident animals and have access to more of the living area.
We are more than happy to give you tips and pointers on how to make that go smoothly.
Golden Oldies also provides any supplies you may need, from litter boxes to cat toys and food. We even take care of any veterinary expenses while the kitty is in your care. You supply the love and home and get the benefits for free. As an added bonus, if you fall in love with your foster cat, you will have first dibs on adopting and making them a permanent family member if you so choose.
